These Ray Ban solar shades can charge your iPhone 5
The glasses perform their traditional duty while youre catching some rays, and the solar panel fills the small battery hidden within. When the sun sets, you can remove one of the arms of the shades and plug it into your iPhone for an extra shot of energy. As the glasses were made for a school project, theres little chance youll get the opportunity to buy them any time soon, but an idea this good seems like it deserves to find its way to retail sooner or later.

Samsung has announced the successor to the Galaxy Grand, the Galaxy Grand 2. The South Korean handset maker has not revealed the price for Galaxy Grand 2 and has also not announced the availability details for the smartphone.The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The Galaxy Grand 2 is a dual-SIM device with support for GSM+GSM. It features a 5.2-inch HD TFT display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels.

The Galaxy Grand 2 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor alongside 1.5GB of RAM. It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera accompanied by an LED flash. It also houses a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with 8GB inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.
Connectivity options on the Galaxy Grand 2 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ AGPS, micro-USB and 3G (HSPA+).
The smartphone measures 146.8x75.3x8.9mm and weighs about 163 grams. The Galaxy Grand 2 packs a 2600mAh battery that can deliver up to 17 hours of talktime, although no standby time detailed.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 will be available in Black, Pink and White colour variants in select regions.
Samsung has decided to pre-load the Galaxy Grand 2 with some some of the popular apps seen on flagship smartphones, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3, like Story Album, which can organise pictures by timelines; S Translator, companys proprietary translation service; S Travel, which offers guides and travel details; Samsung Hub, companys own content service that offers access to music, videos and games. The phone also comes with Group Play, a feature first seen on Galaxy S4, which lets users play music or games together, as well as share documents.

The BQ Aquaris E4 5 with Ubuntu Touch will be shown on February 24
How already announced in December, the Spanish BQ be the first company to offer a terminal with the new Ubuntu Touch and ahead of the Chinese Meizu had also promised a special edition of Meizu MX4 with this software. The date you can see first-hand the terminal has just been announced on 24 February.
Although Canonical, responsible for the development of Ubuntu Touch operating system, had signed with fanfare an agreement with Meizu, the “fucking spaniards” BQ, alluding to its original television campaign directed by Alex de la Iglesia, retakes the front. Do you have a T-Mobile subscription purchased from an external offer, such as Belsimpel, Typhone or Cool Blue, you will receive in many cases the standard model without apps / bloatware T-Mobile
However, in the possession of a T-Mobile branded version of the Galaxy S5, but you still see no notification appear before the update? Quickly open the settings menu, then the submenu on the phone and the system update option where you can check if an update is available. If this method does not work, then install Samsung Kies on your PC or Mac.
And if you have a Samsung Galaxy S5 without bloatware Vodafone or T-Mobile, then there is nothing else to do but at the moment waiting for the moment when Samsung releases the update for Dutch users. We’ve known for some time that the update is completed and the last 7 days, a number of countries have already joined where the rollout is now also started, unfortunately, the Netherlands appears to fall under here yet.

Nexus 5 leaks in a big way with photos Kitkat details and more
The Google Nexus 5 is on its way - possibly today - and weve been treated to a host of leaked images and Android 4.4 details to whet our appetites.
It looks as though several people around the world have got their hands on pre-release Nexus 5 handsets, with one enterprising self-starter taking to Reddit to do an AMA about it.
He described the handset for his eager audience: "[The handset] doesnt feel cheap like a Samsung device, feels great in the hand, its similar to holding a G2 but no volume controls [on the back]."
He also claimed to be "99% certain" that the pricing would start at $349. Thats about £220 or AU$370.
And the question on everybodys lips: what does the Nexus 5 taste like? "Fresh plastic mixed with finger sweat."
As for KitKat, it sounds as though therell be some kind of cloud-based backup option and voice control.
Not long to wait until we find out weve been had: were expecting the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 to launch later on today.

Asus Zenfone 5 LTE Debuts and Price in Taiwan
After selling about 105,000 ZenFones in May and more than 200,000 units last month. Asustek Computer expects to ship more smartphones this month. ZenFone 5 ranked as the bestselling smartphone locally for two consecutive months, the company hopes the wider ZenFone range “will remain the bestseller in July,” following the launch of its first 4G long-term evolution (LTE) handset, Asustek’s corporate vice president Benson Lin said.
The ZenFone 5 LTE has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz quad-core processor and costs NT$6,990 (US$233) for a 16GB model, undercutting models with similar specifications from competitors, such as Sony Corp’s Xperia M2 at NT$9,900, and HTC Corp’s Desire 610 at NT$7,990.
Chief executive officer Jerry Shen said Asustek has targeted China’s Xiaomi Corp as its main competitor in the budget smartphone segment and is confident about its own competitiveness, as Asus smartphones are well received in Southeast Asian countries like Singapore and Malaysia.
Asustek in May told investors that it expected to sell 5 million to 10 million smartphones this year.

Asus has re-entered the smartphone market in India with their new Zenfone series announced at this year’s CES. The new series is available in four screen sizes – 4, 4.5, 5 and 6 inches. Today we’ll be taking a closer look at the Zenfone 5. With a starting price of just Rs 10,000. Battery life isn’t fantastic, but most other elements are for the money. Asus is one of the best options if you want to save that additional cash. Can the Zenfone make a dent in Motorolas current lead?
Our Review
The phone does look premium for its price range but the bezels look a tad bit large for my liking,it being a 5 inch screen. The power buttons and the volume rockers are easy to press.The screen has got gorilla glass 3 protection,so thats a thumbs up Performance: The phone runs on an Intel Atom 1.6 ghz dual core processor.But since it relies on hyper threading,it makes android feel like its a quad core(adding 2 virtual threads). And thats where the performance stands out. Scrolling seems buttery smooth and the Ui itself is refreshing to say the least.I tried games like Asphalt8 and Riptide GP and it handled them with ease. The only con here is the heating up after a short period of usage itself. Overall,a more than good performance from Asus. Camera: The camera part was the one which interested me since Asus claim they use pixelmaster technology to highly improve on the quality of images captured. And true to their claims,Asus does manage to take outdoor shots with fine details and less noise.But indoors,it leaves a lot to be desired frankly. Lot of noise creeps in but something had to give for a phone priced at 10k. Battery: Asus provides us with a non-removable 2110mah battery. Id say dont have high expectations and you wont be dissappointed. Overall: I had a pretty good experience using this phone for the better part of one month.And i have to admit that it doesnt get much better at 10 k. Asus is a worldwide trusted brand and you should buy it if you are stuck at a budget of 10k.
