Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Release Date 2015
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Review: useful design but stuck on Android skin poor
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Release Date 2015-Positive (Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro has a handy design with a built-in kickstand and a long battery life. Then the front-facing speakers loud and blows upon application Dolby audio quality). Negative (heavily modified overlay, so that Android does not have a tray application and customization features. Some text look pixelated, and the touch screen is sometimes hard to recognize the touch. Applications occasionally misfire). Important (unique designs Yoga Tablet 2 can not overshadow the tragic stripped-down UI and performance issues are not regularly).
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 With Windows Review |
Tablet Lenovo is known for innovative designs that are seriously considering the tablet functions for everyday use. Most manufacturers are busy building a razor-thin, light-as-air whiteboard, Lenovo took a more practical approach. The best feature is the built-in kickstand, which is undeniably useful for watching videos, playing games, or email correspondence.
Yoga Tablet 2 has a user interface that simplifies the usual Android experience and some customization features famous OS. Slate unique building could not save him from a terrible overlay, and a lackluster performance that also did not help the cause, making the tablet is difficult to recommend.
Price Lenovo Yoga tablet 2 is starting to set around $ 269 in the US, $ 299 in Australia and € 299 in Europe.
Design
Yoga Tablet 2 has a design similar to last years model. Coming to the size of 8- and 10-inch, the pair has an aluminum frame culminating in a chunky silver bone at the bottom. Rounded edges of the house to the front-facing speakers and, on the back side, a built-in kickstand.
Kickstand now easier to pull off than the last model year, you just pull it down by turning on the spine and it is securely locked at an angle of 90 degrees, although you can easily customize to your liking.
Yoga Tablet 2 can sit upright or set at a lower angle. This is great for hands-free casual, especially watching the video.
On the left bank, at the end of the spine, youll find the power button, the Micro-USB port and volume rocker is located slightly upward. Headphone jack found on the other side, the right end of the spine. The spine is fine, but the back of the tablet has a bumpy texture, offering some support grip.
Thanks to the thick rounded spine, gripped in one hand rather comfortably in portrait orientation. Holding it in landscape orientation take some adjustment; hand drawn to the bottom edge comfier, causing it to continue as a barbell. Personally, we were fine with it, except for a tendency to accidentally press the power button becomes frustrated after having to wait a while.
Features
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, the overlay feature familiar. Just like last years model, the skin on the Yoga Tablet Android 2 is simplified and becomes an error.
Most notably, the UI does not have the app tray. Instead of having all of your application shortcuts in one organized place, they are placed on the homescreens. You can create folders to organize your shortcuts and choose the homescreen to put them. Arrange everything, though, can take some time, especially if you do not stay on it.
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 has the ability multiwindow that works well for a nominal multitasking. For tablet relatively basic, it is a nice addition if you want to do some simple activities, such as responding to emails while watching the movie. Not all applications are capable multiwindow; But the Chrome browser, we found it to be and is the most useful.
In a strange move, the notification panel and a separate quick settings menu. Swipe down from the top and you will see the notification. Swipe up from the bottom and you will find easy access various settings such as brightness and Wi-Fi. It is one of the habits of the user-interface which we assume is supposed to make things easier, but we did not find it more useful than the one-stop typical pull-down menu.
Hardware
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, with a 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor and 2GB of RAM. Theres 16GB of internal storage, and it is expandable up to 64GB with a microSD card.
Achievement
Fast and smooth performance only for simple tasks, but Yoga Tablet 2 suffered many hiccups performance. Touchscreen reacts slowly when responding to touch, and we often encountered crashing application and Wi-Fi connectivity issues. Bugginess occur randomly, making it difficult to find the cause.
Big game start fast, even with lots of applications open in the background, and once loaded they performed smoothly. The biggest downside for lovers of alternative gaming tablet design. For a game that requires an approach that does not really lend itself to a position convenient handheld. Design and kickstand works better for a simple mobile game that does not require the tablet is within your grasp.
10-inch touchscreen offers a 1,920x1,200-pixel resolution IPS screen, and it was bright and colorful enough, but disappointing in sharpness. The text does not look crisp as it should be, even though the quality varies depending on an application or website.
There is an 8 megapixel camera which is located on the spine, near the power button. Has a manual focus option, but the photos did not come out very sharp. 1.6 megapixel camera on the front also produces selfies comparable quality.
Lenovo has a good history on the tablet fixtures with more brilliant speakers. Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 follow this tradition with a pair of front-facing speakers that sound good when it takes full advantage of Dolby application. Easily accessible as widgets, application Dolby feels optimize the sound for movies, music and podcasts. In a small room, they sounded quite loud and tend to hold at full volume.
Battery life Yoga Tablet 2 impressive. At full charge, it takes approximately two days to relax for heavy use. Even after a lot of video streaming and long periods of time in the game. Check back after we finished doing the testing in the Labs E-NEWS to draw final conclusions.
